Op Leven en dood - A concert performance

Scenography and light art installation
A concert performance at Paradiso by Het Nederlands Kamerorkest, on farewell, presence and rituals.
For this concert I designed the light and scenography as a responsive environment — working with absence, resonance, and quiet shifts in atmosphere. The light installation is a spirit-like centrepiece; the audience surrounds the musicians, who are sitting in a circle underneath the circular light.
The scenographic element was developed as a spirit-like centerpoint: a responsive object made of light and vertical curtains, hovering above the orchestra.
Not a backdrop, but a spatial actor — reacting subtly to sound and silence.
The musicians are surrounded by the audience in a sold-out Paradiso.
